Last updated: September 17, 2026 · This is a free, independently operated project. These Terms are provided for general information and don't constitute legal advice.
By using Voice to Text (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Voice to Text is a free browser-based tool for live speech-to-text transcription, audio file transcription, and text-to-speech playback. It doesn't require an account, and it's provided "as is" on a best-effort basis by an individual operator, not a company.
To be clear about where your audio actually goes:
See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
Automated speech recognition can misinterpret words, omit content, or produce outright errors. Don't rely on transcripts from this Service for medical, legal, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions without independently verifying them. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this Service is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including reliance on an inaccurate transcription, loss of data that exists only in your browser's local storage, or processing performed by a third-party speech-recognition provider.
You keep all rights to any audio or text you submit. By using the Service, you confirm you have the right to submit that content, and you grant the operator the limited, temporary right to process it solely to provide the transcription and text-to-speech features back to you.
If you believe content processed or displayed through this Service infringes your copyright, email samsattendance@gmail.com with: a description of the copyrighted work, a description of the material you believe is infringing, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. Because transcripts aren't stored on the server, in most cases the material in question will only exist in the reporting or reported user's own browser — but the operator will investigate and take reasonable action, including restricting access to the Service, where appropriate.
In addition to anything already listed above, don't use the Service to: conduct illegal surveillance or covert recording; harass or stalk another person; generate misleading transcripts falsely attributed to real people; upload malware or other harmful files; or scrape or reverse-engineer the Service to build a competing product.
The operator may block or restrict access to the Service — at the account, session, or network level — for any user or IP address found abusing it, without prior notice.
These Terms may be revised at any time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
